When I received my Journey to the Wild Divine Kit in I was impressed.  Everything was quality.  The packaging, contents, hardware, materials.  I don't see a lot of that today.  I installed the software which is extensive.

The Game:

This game is about learning and using the relationship between your thoughts/mind, breathing, "state" and how it affects your body using advanced Bio-feedback monitoring.  Which means you can't "cheat" <laugh>.

Some of the imagery, game contexts are founded in what many in the U.S. would call "Eastern" concepts.  I mention this because many of my more U.S. traditionally based friends/family get in a tizzy about anything that resembles anything "New Age".  This is a game that combines science with "state of being" control.  It's a game, a story and because it may not be familiar to you, it is an adventure in to a new world, a new realm.   Instead of being about killing and getting the "bad" guy, it is filled with exercises, puzzles and exploration that requires you to learn about your body, stress levels, etc.

I won't ruin the game for you, but I was both amazed and amused by this gaming kit.  It inspired me to remember some gaming ideas I had years ago utilizing this type of technology.

MY 6 YEAR OLD:

Matthew - an avid computer users/gamer was intrigued with "Daddy's new game".  Finally I had to give in and let him try it.  This is a kid that can't sit still.  He'll play a computer game for an hour, and then go outside and run/jump/play for 2 hours.  Why walk somewhere when you can run, jump, climb and roll somewhere. <laugh>, That is my boy. (He's a master manifester & very active.)

So I hooked him up - their are 3 intro - exercises, one which involved "juggling" 3 balls, and another which involves getting a ball to "float" up (I'm not going to tell you all 3, get the game and find out for yourself! <laugh>

Here is a 6 year old boy - saying "Dad, how do I get the balls to juggle?" (They are just sitting there doing nothing).  I say - "Think happy thoughts" - suddenly a ball jumps up, he giggles, (wow that's kewl), and then the 2nd and third start juggling before his eyes!  He's laughing now and the balls are flying high.  Then he tried just laughing (a fake laugh for him), the balls started settling down he was puzzled, I told him "Matthew, you can't cheat your state of being - if your going to laugh - then think happy thoughts that make your laugh, or laugh from your heart, not just make the noise."  He nodded, changed his approach, the balls started juggling again.

A 6 year old - learning to "be calm" - I knew the next one may be a challenge for him.  Here is a ball, and you have to relax and slow down to make it float up.  He's sitting there...pretending to "meditate", it was cute, he'd open an eye to see what the ball was doing (nothing).  He was getting annoyed (nothing), he was breathing deeper (and harder) - the ball wiggled.  I could sense that "I'm going to get that ball to float if it's the last thing I do" show up.

This is a kid who has learned to play games by trial and error before he was able to "read" the instructions.  I've got a professional gamer here...stumped because it's not about "clicking" on things or using navigation arrows.

Frustrated he says "Dad, I don't think it's working.", me, well, I smile and say, ok, relax, take a deep breath, don't think about making it do anything, just relax...he takes a slow relaxed breath...the ball floats up a little...he gets excited "wow - that was kewl! (the ball immediately goes back on the ground.)

At that point Mom came in because some 6 year old had not finished cleaning his room.

Enter the 42 year old Woman:  Maybe it was the laughter, or maybe the fact it was now 10:30 at night and bedtime routine was 9:00.  What ever it was, it was now time for "Mom" to try out Dad's new game.  6 year old son was bobbing in and out to see how "Mom" was going.  (No sense of competition...), he came in to watch to see how "Mom" did with the "Ball" raising exercise.  To his amazement "Mom" was able to relax and make the ball float up quite nicely.  (I whispered in his ear "See, it does work." to which he replied "Can I play it again tomorrow?"... Mom looked at me...and him...I sensed I was suppose to get him to "bed"...which I did...but we both noted Mom's ball settled down to the ground with her disapproving glance.

Well - the rest of the story is simple - I hung out while "Mom" explored the "Wild Divine" for next couple of hours.  I realized then I would have to save up and get another "Wild Divine" kit if I ever wanted to use my computer again.  I don't mind sharing, but I've never had a computer game/program that even "Mom" liked.  My 17 year old and 14 year old are not around and don't know about "Dad's new toy".

Me?  Well, I played on it for about an hour before anyone else.  It's not the kind of game you can give to a kid and they will immediately jump into it.  As I was telling "Mom" from time to time...the Game is not in a hurry.  In a rush, rush world, this Game slows you down - it takes a little bit to get use to a "slow paced" game that inspires you to solve some puzzles and learn about yourself.

This "the game is not in a hurry" is wonderful because it forces you to "de-stress".  I immediately knew I had found a winner of a game and tool.

Raising my energy - easy, calming my state - easy...but keeping my state at a certain level...while balloons were floating by....if they went to high they popped...or too low they popped...or stacking rocks by raising and lowering your "state" in real time...Yea even I was challenged and I didn't even get into the game that far!

I know my teenagers may need a little encouragement to get into it, but once they are past the intro section, they will find a world of exploration and discovery.  No killing, no shoot-em up, no stress.  The complete opposite.  It's a magical world of positive possibility.   I hope they create more games utilizing this gaming interface for different age levels and interests.   The possibilities are amazing.

I recommend this game/tool with my highest recommendation.  I signed up the next day to be an affiliate.  So many people do not know how to slow down and are disconnected from how their thoughts and breathing affect their body.  The health benefits from learning about your own body/mind connection are too numerous to mention.

Begin your Journey to your "Wild Divine", it doesn't matter what your religious beliefs are, you can benefit from this adventure.  Many of traditional Western mainstream religious beliefs judge and fear things they do not understand or are simply unfamiliar to them.  I've been there.  I tell my friends "The bible does not say "Thou Shalt Not Breath Deeply" <laugh>.

In America when we think of "meditation" we think of Buddhist Monks with orange robes and shaved heads...yet Jesus meditated in the Garden...my point is there is nothing here to be afraid of, and it's not about changing your religious beliefs.  It's about learning about your body and how your thoughts and breathing affect your stress levels in your body.

RE: Demo - you really cannot "demo" this product without buying it.  It simply works, and that is why...it is here and available from The Church of What Works.  We like things that "work" around here!!

Installation note: The game utilizes some special drivers that are found on disk 2.   My computer has multiple drives & partitions and I installed it to a non-default location which required me to manually run the special driver software on CD-#2.  It was not a big deal and most people probably do not have my complexity of hardware configuration so they most likely will not run into this minor installation problem that I encountered.  I mention to help if someone runs into a similar issue.
